Cheryl replied to Yasmeen's discussion What's this doing in the bike lane?
"Yeah, you definitely have to stay alert at those intersections. I've seen cars run the red left arrow at Dearborn and Wacker, too.  I'd really like to see separate right arrows for the cars on the Elston intersections so they are not…"

"Thanks for being so proactive on this! I'm glad to hear the staff was receptive. It seems fair (to me at least) that if a business expects to use public road space for customers to queue in, a fee is paid. I wonder if there is a way to leave…"

Cheryl replied to Yasmeen's discussion What's this doing in the bike lane?
"I have tweeted Divvy numerous times about seeing their trucks in bike lanes and only got a response once. They claim they train their drivers not to stop in bike lanes. I guess the drivers just ignore what they are told."

"The northbound Elston bike lane at Ashland, where you have to cross over a lane of traffic to the left of the curb to proceed on Elston.  Also, to a lesser extent, northbound Damen at Fullerton and Elston, where the bike lane suddenly narrows…"

Cheryl replied to Yasmeen's discussion What's this doing in the bike lane?
"It's a gorgeous day, so everyone needs to get their car washed. The line for 4558 N. Elston. And the line for 4454 N. Elston.  I also ride by the River West car wash on Milwaukee south of Grand and notice that they usually have the…"

Cheryl replied to Yasmeen's discussion What's this doing in the bike lane?
"Just used it so it's working. But it's silly that you ave to put in a specific time and a range is not permitted. Car washes, for example, often block the bike lane during all of rush hour, not just for 15 minutes."

"4242 N. Elston - regularly has delivery trucks blocking the bike lane. Not sure which business it is, Thillens or Alfa Restaurant Supply."

Cheryl replied to Yasmeen's discussion What's this doing in the bike lane?
"A small sample of the many vehicles in the Wells bike lane Tuesday evening. The car wash line at 4558 N. Elston yesterday morning. Elston is pretty narrow with heavy rush hour traffic here, so getting in to the traffic lane can be a…"

Cheryl replied to Yasmeen's discussion Biking Wish List for Infrastructure in Chicago - Chicagoist
"I'd like to see the bike lanes restored on Elston between Belmont and Damen. They were never repainted after the street was paved. A separate traffic signal for bikes on NB Elston at Ashland, to avoid conflicts with cars cutting across lanes to…"

"In the southbound Elston lane this morning.... guessing this is due to the winds yesterday."

Cheryl replied to Yasmeen's discussion What's this doing in the bike lane?
"Ugh. I also hate when I see drivers do that. Or park in a bike lane with a legal spot a couple car lengths down the block. "

"Bro in a black Ram 1500 was partially blocking the bike lane on Elston, in the viaduct, coming up on Ashland, and I bumped up against him as I passed. He slowed as he passed me after the Cortland and told me not to touch cars, then asked how I would…"
