Tricolor replied to Yasmeen's discussion Extending the 606 over the Chicago River?
"I guess it's the original line which used to join the railroad. The trail extension would need to cross the highway, river and the railroad. I suppose the Finkle area will develop along with Goose Island, which doesn't seem to have any…"

"Oak Street's asphalt has completely trashed by the surf these last few days, which is hitting the retaining wall of Lake Shore Drive. Not as bad as it has been in the past, though the curve didn't tear apart that time, either: "

Yes sir, it's that time of year!  We have a friend in common who is set on coming along, so I'm content that I've at least got one companion.  I've done some route cleaning, upgraded my bags, gear, and tent, switched to solar power, made arrangements which should make the ride a bit cheaper, backed up the route to my phone, bought new tires, etc...  I'm going to stay in west Madison an extra day, so I won't be around to shepherd anyone home.  Also, all the bridges along the Glacial Drumlin have been completed, so bring your trail pass or you'll be reminded to get one!
