Anyone want to help a couple of Chainlinkers in loading furniture? Money, Pizza & Beer/Beverages provided in Exchange :)

We are moving on Sunday, July 29th -30th, and although I have posted a "labor wanted" ad on CraigsList, I figured why not ask any strong bodied Chainlinkers if they would like to make a few bucks and…Continue

Some of you may know that Rob and I are moving to Southwestern Michigan to a town called Dowagiac,  actually about 8 miles outside of town. I checked the Walking Score and it is 0, the only cyclists…Continue

"Agree.  Always seems a bit too warm in the summer and too cold in the winter (even if you're the only person using the showers).  Still beats public transit though! "

We are moving on Sunday, July 29th -30th, and although I have posted a "labor wanted" ad on CraigsList, I figured why not ask any strong bodied Chainlinkers if they would like to make a few bucks and also get an added bonus of beer/beverages and pizza.  Warning: We have a huge, heavy sectional couch that will require at least 3 strong people to move down 2 flights of stairs. We also have a few dressers, queen bed/mattress, mirrors and other various boxes/furniture. Rob & I estimate this…See More

Melanie K replied to BritBoy's discussion Riding in the rain
"I agree- riding in the rain is just wonderful, especially when it is still warm outside. I don't bother with rain gear on days like this, I just wear something that will dry quickly and bring spare clothes to change into when I get to work."

What I ride:
Road, Hybrid
The kind of riding I do:
Recreational, Exercise, Commuting, Distance, Around Town, Other
About me:
Sold my car and bought a bike in February during a snowstorm, as I despise public transit (unless there is no other alternative) and have been biking exclusively everywhere ever since. My husband and I have done some light touring and bike camping (around 50-60 miles) with my hybrid and his single speed. Looking to explore the world together. Oh, just purchased a 12 speed Schwinn Traveler- I really enjoy riding that right now. Finally bought the tour bikes- Novarra Safari and re-did my '85 Traveler as my daily commuter. I just like to bike.

Once I get the camera back from my boyfriend I hope to put a few more pics on this site- mainly those of us cycling or doing some bike-related activity. Until then, all I have are my bike locking pictures...btw, the bike I have does not lend itself well to locking the front wheel to the frame and another object, so I am very proud that I managed it that day.
