North Shore Ladies Weekly Bike Ride - Deerfield Cyclery at Deerfield Cyclery

May 18, 2017 from 6:30pm to 7:30pm
We will start and end our ride at Deerfield Cyclery and ride on neighborhood streets and trails. We will ride minimally on the sidewalks on main streets (Waukegan/Deerfield Road). Speed will be between 10-12 MPH to get a workout but not too fast.  If anyone needs a bike, contact Julie or post here.Image source : https://ladotbikeblog.wordpress.com/category/events/See More

Looking for a Female Ride Leader for Next Thursday in Deerfield

Lady Bike Friends - I started ladies bike ride in Deerfield on Thursday night's. I can't lead the ride next Thursday, May 18 and am looking for someone who can help lead the ride since I don't know if any of the riders are comfortable leading a ride just yet. Ride Meets at Deerfield Cyclery at 6:30PM and leaves at 6:45PM. Not too fast, about a 30 minutes ride. I would say a max of 5 riders will show up.  I will be adding to the calendar weekly here soon.  I can help with route if needed.See More

"It arrived! Deerfield Cyclery did a great job building it up for us.  Anyone around Deerfield, come say hi! (We will most likely be at Sunday's Lincoln Square Kidical Mass too)"

Hi Julie Are you going to do the Apple Cider next Sunday in MI ?   I went last year and rode 55 miles.  It is very beautiful.  I am looking to car pool with someone and can pitch in for gas.  Do you know of anyone who may be going ?  If so, can you please email me stephanie81864@yahoo.com.   It is the 25th - next Sunday.

Hi Julie.  I am going to cycle the Horsey 100 event in KY this memorial day weekend.  It is a 5 hour drive.  Very beautiful country side.  You have the option of cycling 35, 50, 75. or 100.   Interested in going !  Check it out on line, and let me know.    Stephanie

Julie,

In long projects that extend beyond one persons (or two peoples) tenure one of the most important decisions is to make sure the next person to carry the torch is up to the task. In this with Yasmeen you 'picked good', she's proactive and involved and will hopefully carry on making the lives of Chicago cyclists better just as you did.  Thank You.

Congratulations on the baby, ten fingers and ten toes and built in toe clips is all it takes.

Thanks/Good luck.

Edit: I posted a version of this before and wondered "what does that little 'x' do?" and apparently it deletes ones own comment.  Rewrote as best I could.
