September 19, 2014 from 6:30pm to 9pm
The Southside Critical Mass community bike ride meets every 3rd Friday of the month (weather permitting) at 6:30pm at Nat King Cole Park, located at 8500 S. Martin Luther King Dr. This community bike ride is FREE and open to all families and all ages. We normally travel about 10 miles at a deliberately slow pace and won't be ending at Cole Park. "I can't tell you how many times I've had a child fall asleep while on the back end of a trail-a-bike, tandem or or while riding on the bike rack (pillion style)!  I think we've logged at least 100 miles doing this--yet we never…"

Jane Healy replied to h' 1.0's discussion Air conditioner poll-- who's getting by without?
"We turned our a.c. on for a few hours yesterday, but have not used it this summer otherwise. We have ceiling fans in most rooms, as well as a whole house fan that is well nigh miraculous for pulling the cool evening air in at night."

Hi Jane!  Um, I hope this is ok to post, but I attended a cycling sis workshop at Blackstone Bikes in 2007, and snapped a photo of you showing us how to repair a flat.  Well, anyway, I submitted the photo last year to the APBA, the Association of Pedistrian and Bicycle Professionals, and the photo has won a contest and will be featured on some of their pamphlets and such.  Just wanted to give you a chance to tell me otherwise.  Thanks for all that you do, Suzanne
