- It was on the way to the midnight ride. It was a cab in stopped traffic on the 2500 block of Lincoln. Rear passenger door opened into the bike lane. A parked Cadillac Escalade broke my fall. More like I ricocheted off it.
Other than some minor bruising, a very angry SI joint, and a sore neck I appear to be unscathed. Fortunately I was riding a tank of a bike (Kona Eighty Eight) with huge handlebars. The bars have a tiny scratch, and the stem and seatpost got knocked out of whack.
