Prairie State Cycling Series Starts Today

The "Intelligentsia Cup" and the Prairie State Cycling Series kicks off today in Beverly. Even though it is only a few years old it is now the second largest bike race series in the COUNTRY. Really proud to be a part of it and sponsor elite-level bike racing in Chicagoland. Here's the schedule. We are having a Fixed Gear race on 7/24 at the Goose Island race. That's a great day, definitely check it out. JULY 15TH: BEVERLY/CHICAGO, IL…See More

Mike Keating replied to Babs Owca's discussion Change in traffic laws. How do we do it?!
"The way to do it is a "slow and steady" approach. In 2008 there was a big shift in Chicago and statewide with some changes. Then in Chicago there were some tweaks to the City ordinances and obviously the construction of the bike lanes…"

Thanks for the friend invite.  Yes, I must admit that I'm a lawyer, although I usually identify myself as a English major, period.  I appreciate the good work you guys are doing for the biking cause.

Yo Mike,

I don't think the coffee meeting format will need me to pull strings but I'll let ya know if I think a 'friendly' follow up would help.

I'm thinkin' this to be more of an introduction to LOOK for the 3 officials and to sorta feel'em out for contact info and potential leverage as we move forward with the education campaign.

Thanks for the offer and if you can make it the extra body would be handy since the hour and a half is going to be a challenge to hit all 3 since they will be burdened with many constituent concerns.

PS note address change to the other end of the 3400 block on Southport (3445, Mystic Celt)
