Ridecording archived: ~80mi ~16hrs ~10mph

Distance was a few miles short of a full round trip as we ended at the Billy Goat (at 12:50am) rather than full circle to the fountain. Also technically a few miles low because I use a high gps jitter reduction setting. mph is based on lower "in motion" hours. All agreed the wooden bridges part was heaven. I heard there were seven flats, which it seemed David personally fixed most of. The splash of rain was blessedly merciful, nigh perfect. Something like 53 started, various joined, 47ish did most, 27 in the home stretch, a dozen-plus finished? Then James and I hit the barcade...

I sooo understand the first half drop outs; this year's biggest challenge was headwind. My body's glowing happily. See y'all next year!

Congrats on a great ride David and everyone! The photos look awesome. Unfortunately, I was not able to ride with you all this year. However, I do not plan on missing the Perimeter ride next year!!! Congrats again...

thanks to everyone for an awesome ride!

anyone wants to join my sandwich club ride, it's listed on the chainlink as an event for October 5, and there's like five or ten people from facebook already committed, so it should be a good ride. thanks again to all the pople that made yesterday so fun!!

Ok, last minute prep. It's going to rain, but it'll be warm. I'll be wearing wicking material, 'cause that dries out fast when the rain lets up. Bring dry socks to swap out with wet ones from time to time.

Our pals at Argus Brewery are opening their doors to our soggy asses, but they can't feed us this year, so we'll have to bring our own. When we get a head count at the Fountain, we'll give Calumet Fisheries a call so they can be ready for us. Make it to-go and we'll eat at the brewery.

Bring water. Extra water. Bring energy bars, trail mix and cookies. And dry socks. And plastic bags for your phones and whatnot.

See you at 8!

pffft... "Forecast" says it's gonna rain, like they've got "science" or whatever...

Can you believe this forecast? Sunny for days except Saturday. Absurd!
