Just curious are you riding in the right so he can get by or taking up the whole lane?

As I passed he yelled "oh yeah! your'e on your bike". When the light turned green he revved up and aimed his car towards my direction. I managed to veer off to the side. Mad that he was not able to get close enough to me, he yelled "pussy!" and sped off to the next red light.

It's kind of flattering being called pussy. Those things can take a good beating and they come back for more.

Doesn't really matter where he was riding, does it? If in fact the driver were aiming his car, the driver was in the wrong; it was vehicular assault, cut and dried.

Agreed. I'm just glad this isn't Texas, where a juvenile got probation for 4 counts of vehicular homicide and hurt 9 other people, one of whom is now in a vegetative state.

Washington is a wide three lane street in downtown, so I took the far left lane to avoid riding in the slush. By law we can take the lane if there is not enough room to ride safely.

This knuckle head felt the need to bully me with his vehicle even though he crossed the other lanes just to get in front of me just to stop at the red light. Go figure.

In some close calls that are useful actions the submitter can take. For example, if a CTA driver is involved, I advise that you print and email the close call page to CTA president Forrest Claypool at 567 W Lake Street. If a taxi driver is involved you need to call 311 and file a taxicab complaint.

A taxicab complaint can escalate to where you show up at an administrative hearing to testify about the taxicab driver's poor behavior, for which they will be fined and required to take classes – Yes, I did this.
