Comment by Clark Lasswell on September 21, 2012 at 4:47pm I was so bummed not make this. Had the bike all clean, stuff all packed and the power went out and lost my alarm clock...awoke too late to get to the start. I am glad you all had a great time. I will do double backups on the alarms next time. Looks like a super route.
Wonderful ride, great company, and delicious beer. Hell yeah.
Thank you all for coming out, it was a blast!

Comment by Nick Gilbert on September 13, 2012 at 9:13am Thanks for putting this together! Would you be able to provide some addtional info re: Train info/fees, riding pace, total distance and gear to bring along.
There's a secret route into Whiting which avoids Indianapolis Blvd. Basically you head by the State Line Generating Plant cross over some tracks and ride through some parking lots and along the beach there in Whiting.
Thank you fine sir, we have one individual that has done this before.
Comment by envane (69 furlongs) on September 5, 2012 at 11:29am If you're going to use that route, be forewarned, it involves some offroad shortcuts that will not be immediatley obvious unless you've done it before.
