How many miles is your commute? ((read the OP before responding please, hunny-bunnies))

There seem to be a lot of discussions about gear, clothing, winter riding that don't take into account the sort of commutes people have; i.e. advice that applies to someone who rides 15 miles each way may not be useful to someone who rides 3 miles.  So I thought I'd propose that people add the (one-way) distance of their daily commute, or their most typical one-way distance for regular 'utility' (rather than social/fitness/recreational) rides after their user name and see if it helps, or at least provides a little added interest...

Generally from 12 to 3 mi, varies seasonally and by how late i'm running in the AM. Rode in about 98% of my workdays in '12.

My euro style  alter ego is 23.166. He always feels like he's riding fast but we seem to go about the same speed.

18.4 mi round trip to/from work, Mon-Fri.

I should probably squeeze in another mile and a half by using another route, but I will change it when the weather gets back to being a bit nicer.

This is my first winter riding, so I will be gentle with myself. LOL !

I hope that the next step in this isn't using 12 digit grids for start and stop points? That would be considerably more accurate. LMBO !!

I don't have much input for many of the commuting threads, so I wouldn't be posting much in those anyway.
