I met a rider today, who I think is on the team, and they pointed me to this sight as a Facebook for cyclist. I mostly cycle by myself since none of friends bike. So finding a community to connect with sounded appealing.

About me:

I started biking in college because I had friend getting rid of their bike for about the amount I spent on the L in a month. Saw the purchase as economical. I fell in love with biking when a stranger showed me the lake shore bike trail. It was the first time I felt like I could escape the city. I still bike almost everywhere I go and keep pushing myself to go farther distances in worse weather.

My first bike:

An old schwin. I think a world tour, but it's been painted over several times, so it's hard to tell.
