"We used a Burley trailer for many years and really liked it. It was pretty easy to pull (aluminum), had lots of space for beach stuff, the screen and rain cover for riding in different weather, also, if you end up tipping over (bad curb,…"

Homebuilt replied to John Greenfield's discussion 'The Berteau Greenway moves forward without traffic diverters'
"Well... from what I see, it doesn't even address the part of Berteau that need it. It's impossible to go east between the river and Lincoln on a bike in that area w/o either riding on Montrose or Irving Park, or riding the wrong way. None…"

Crowd-sourcing bar tape

I love the bar tape on my road bike: Cinelli yellow/pink/purple "splash." I think they stopped making this color combination in like 1990, but I want to get more because they need to be redone. If anyone's in a bike shop or online and sees some, please let me know?See More

James BlackHeron replied to Homebuilt's discussion 'PARTS WANTED: Need old cranks/BB, etc.'
"Your best bet is Working Bikes.    I saw a single-chainring cottered crankset there 2 weeks ago in the pile of cottered cranks.  Looked like a 44t but i didn't count it.    if not they have a bunch of Square-taper…"

Homebuilt replied to Homebuilt's discussion 'PARTS WANTED: Need old cranks/BB, etc.'
"Well... that's not actually as helpful at you'd think on this: I have a BB spindle that should fit by that measurement, but it's too narrow, so I think a direct measurement of the spindle is all that will work. "

Homebuilt, I have a bike seat you could take in exchange for removing it and installing a new seat I have. BUT, it's a woman's seat: a $60 Terry that turned out to be so uncomfortable that I had to put a gel cover over it. Now I found a wide seat at a tag sale I want to replace it with. If you're interested, I'm in Edgewater at 773-295-8190.
thanks, Rachel
