"In the Netherlands they have dedicated bike lanes that run alongside of the main highways. We traveled from Haarlem to Amsterdam along one. The bike path was safely, and with plenty of distance, separated from the highway. It was great!"

Not to worry there's next month! Somebody had told me that May will be aikido theme. So we will be riding bikes doing aikido moves. :-)

to liz, thats a good idea. right now im working on my own biek canopy again becaseu ibroke my original one when ihauled another bike with te weight on the plastic frame. iwent back to teh ahrdware storeand found thast all the virgin palstic has ebe nsubstiuted for palstic particle boards which isnt strong enough and after searchnig and swearchnig ive actually resorted to viens which aren't commercially viable for sale. so I need to do some more researchbefreo icome up with another modification to my bike canopy, such as for rear child seat carriers.

About me:
I live on the northside and ride every day. We are a biking family; me and my boys ride most everywhere we go. I have been car-free for the past 6 or so years and I do not regret a day of it.
