"A low cost torque wrench is not very accurate especially at low torques.  If you want a cheap, not very accurate wrench, go to Harbor Freight.  For this bike I doubt you really need accuracy."

"Both these rides are fairly new.  I believe this is their second or maybe third year. The routes are great taking in the northern part of the peninsula (Fish Creek and north) with a decent bit of climbing.  There is an older more…"

"We had a discussion on this at a neighborhood meeting since one is going in my neighborhood (at Roscoe & Southport.  Our neighborhood has permit parking and there was a general concern about the extra parking load a 33 unit building (w 6…"

"Not as "fashionable" as some but I use J&G cycle wear rain gear.  Not in local stores but mail order. Good thing is that it is made in Oregon.  I've had a complete set of rain gear from them for about 5…"

Len Krietz replied to Josh L.'s discussion Anyone else going to miss the Finkl Steel shortcut?
"I remember the "shortcut" when it was Southport Ave before Finkl bought/conned it from the city.  Finkl was a forging foundry and produced very high end big forgings - premium $$.  The rail line was a short line which serviced…"

Tony Adams replied to Len Krietz's discussion 606 Extension?
""Little Schaumburg" that is totally hilarious and spot on! It is profoundly sad that big box, car centric development so easily finds it way into any urban opening it can - like weeds taking over a neglected parcel of land. We all know…"

Greg Valent replied to Len Krietz's discussion 606 Extension?
"Don't forget, to get to the river, you still have to cross over Ashland, (do-able), under the Kennedy, (do-able), then, over the Metra tracks, (harder to be do-able). All can be done, with enough shekels. "

Tricolor replied to Len Krietz's discussion 606 Extension?
"Ending the 606 at the highway/river/railroad was silly anyway.  It needs to cross all of that into Little Schaumburg."
