Product Review: Po Campo Uptown Bike Trunk Bag in Mosaic

By Shawna Carter

Love my Po Campo bag. The bag has a super cute design that really stands out. I was originally drawn to the black version as most things I own are black, but decided I should step out of my comfort zone and get the Mosaic pattern. Best decision! I get so many compliments and love the pattern!

While known for stylish designs, Po Campo also delivers on function. The Uptown Bike Trunk Bag has room for everything you need during a typical workday.

The bag itself can hold an outfit, small pair of shoes, wallet, and a water bottle with some room to spare, making it the perfect bag for me to take to the gym. It also has a couple of inside pockets to stash mail, keys, cash whatever you would need to find quickly without dropping to the bottom of the bag. It fits so nicely on my rear bike rack without hanging over and then detaches so easily to become my "purse." I love this feature because in the past I've had to use bungees to secure other bags. Although not difficult to use, they can just be a nuisance when trying to tighten. Especially love the trunk bag in this heat wave we've been having because it prevents me from getting overheated like other bags I have to strap on my back. My only "complaints" with the bag are that the zippered opening has a stiff piping material making it slightly difficult to zip. It's not impossible to zip but unlike a normal backpack the zipping isn't seamless. My other issue is when it turns into a cross body shoulder bag I just feel the stiffness of the bag makes it seem slightly too bulky. It doesn't "fit" my side or back comfortably like other bags of this nature.

The Uptown Bike Trunk Bag, like most Po Campo designs, allows for seamless transition between riding and walking. Velcro straps deliver effortless attachment to a rear rack. Sturdy handles and an included shoulder strap enable easy off-the-bike transport.

Overall this bag is a commuters dream for quick trips to the gym, carrying stuff to the office, or even a way to carry some snacks and daily essentials. I've received tons of compliments on it, making me want another one. I'd like to get the Kinga Handlebar Bag ($39.99) next for easy short commutes!

The Po Campo Uptown Bike Trunk Bag has a retail price of $79.99 and is also available in "Black Herringbone" and "Sky Stripes." Visit http://www.pocampo.com/ to learn more.
