Holiday Gift Guide | For the Road Cyclist | Clean Bottle

Clean Bottle
24 oz. Water Bottle ($9.95 MSRP)

One drawback of standard–issue water bottles (sorry, “bidons”) is that they can be difficult to thoroughly clean. Even when you run them through the dishwasher you can wind up with those black, moldy specks way down at the bottom, just out of reach.

If you’ve ever watched Tour de France broadcasts, you’ve probably seen the Clean Bottle advertisements, or seen the founder of the company alongside the road wearing a Clean Bottle costume. All gimmicks aside, it’s actually a pretty cool product.

Obviously, the primary differentiator is that the bottom screws off the bottle, enabling you (or your dishwasher) better access to clean it. What you might not know is that the little rubber piece at the spout comes out too, which really lets you get into all the nooks and crannies (particularly the part you put in your mouth).

Another advantage that we’ve found is that by removing both ends, the bottle no longer sits too tall for the top shelf of your dishwasher, adding a bit of convenience.

There’s not much else to say here except that Clean Bottle features simple concept that works.

Clean Bottle comes in three versions: the 24oz. original style, a 22oz. insulated version, and a “Runner” version which adds a hand holder accessory that gives you a place to stick your phone and keys and whatnot.

Primarily it’s available in blue or black, but they take custom printed orders too.
