Cycling Polos ($85 MSRP)

This item turned out to be a bit of a sleeper. In other words, we approached DannyShane about testing some of their road bike kits and they threw in a cycling polo even though we weren’t sure we’d like it. We’re very glad they did. It’s without question an amazing jersey.

Why? It’s perfect for those day-long events where you spend lots of time both on and off the bike. In other words, those situations where street clothes don’t cut it, but you’d rather not walk around wearing skin-tight lycra. Weekend bike camping trips, and summertime rambles to area breweries come to mind.

The “Bamboo White Ash” fabric is ridiculously comfortable. The “loose fitting, tailored cut” feels great on the bike, and the golf shirt styling ensures you won’t get any strange looks when you walk into a bar or restaurant. The rear zipper cargo pocket adds a touch of on-bike function without preventing the shirt from being worn to work in a pinch.

Pair it with a quality pair of mountain bike baggies (like the 7mesh Glidepath short), and you have what might be a perfect blend of function and style.
