The Deal with Walk Bike Transit...

So here is the deal: This is a once in a generation election for the city of Chicago which means we need to come out strong...

We are working to organize coffees for Aldermanic and Mayoral Candidates (i.e. meet-and-greet events) at individuals homes (and occasionally) venues throughout the city.   For the aldermanic's we are doing this on a ward-by-ward basis so that candidates can speak directly to constituents (i.e. People who can vote for them); and we are trying to limit these events to constituents to increase our impact accordingly.  Unless of course you would be willing to write a check, in which case we don't care where you are from :) To find out what ward you live in, you can go to our website http://walkbiketransit.org, and click on What ward do I live in?

We are trying to set these up in as many wards as possible (all 50 if we can make it happen). So if you are interested in helping organize/host a coffee in your ward then the next step would be a conversation with me.  We are also in the process of organizing for the mayoral candidates, which will of course be great for everyone to be involved in.

Thanks and wishing you all safe and warm riding,

John

Hi! I have been out of the loop (literally) for seven years and now that I am working in the Loop again, I am really dismayed to find that the Bike Station in Millennium Park is no more. Where are people parking their bikes downtown these days? I need to find someplace safe as my office building does not have a bike room. Thanks!

We will be working in the 47th ward with Alderman Pawar to make safe streets and infrastructure for all.

im starting to think that efforts should be directed at aldermans in non viable neighborhoods instead of wasting time talking with ones where the conditions are fair.  just a thought based or recent realizations

Y'all catch the debate last night?  Del Valle roused up a few applauses. Im wondering if he has a larger following than the media has been suggesting.

If you live in Lincoln Square, Ravenswood, etc and are in Ward 47th there is an aldermanic forum tonight, February 15th at 7 PM at Dank House.  Let's hear what the candidates have to say about biking and safe streets.

If anyone wants to meet for a drink or bite before or after message me
