If anyone wants to volunteer this weekend, it's Earth Day and there are a lot of service projects going on.  A coworker of mine is organizing one out at the Dunning Read Conservation area on the far Northwest side.

I came across this organization recently and thought, "wow, wish I was there: that would be a lot of fun!" They organize bikey events to raise money for bikey causes.

help WEST TOWN this Friday night...mucca pazza, puerto rican food and new belgium beer!! What more incentive do you need?

"The celebration is free for all, but we need 45 volunteers to help with everything from set-up to tear down. If you're available email sarahm@westtownbikes.org."

Hey guys, look up at the discussion forum for info on May service opportunities with City Year Chicago. (cityyear.org if you're unfamiliar with the organization).

Also, I emailed West Town about helping with their move at the end of this month. Let me know if you're interested in that.

and i'd still like to meet with anyone interested in helping plan projects, excursions, or help with outreach...how bout at the derailluer party?

also, I just asked our graphic designer if he'd be interested in creating a little logo for ya and sent him a link to this page - he said yes!

His name is Mitch Brinker: mitch@activetrans.org

I just emailed Working Bikes to see what day would be best. I'll let you know as soon as I find out. Hopefully not a rainy day!

I have another unique opportunity... anyone interested??

We’re looking for one or two volunteers with neat, beautiful penmanship to address about fifty personal notes to the great friends of the Active Transportation Alliance. No need to work in the office (although you may if you like). Just contact jody@activetrans.org to arrange to pick up and drop off the materials. Please be able to complete this project by Mar. 31.
