I was thinking about doing a ride up to the Northwestern Observatory in Evanston. Anyone else have proposals?
Like this way?

We'd better leave early - we'll run out of daylight!
Yep, it's certainly getting shorter! Prolly not that route directly, but something similar. The observatory has a free public viewing from 10-11...we might even be abel to get in at 9 pm depending on if another group has a reservation, though if it is cloudy, it might not be worth it.
Ride Report:

A great ride! Good weather, not really hot for a change.

We went south at first, then west across Bryn Mawr. We cut into Peterson Park and played in the park for a while, as long as it took to fix a flat.

The then invaded a "gated community" to shorten the path away from the North Park Village Nature Center, and took a tour of the parking garage at Northeastern Illinois University. All the way to the top of the garage.

Following this we went by the home of a jogger - not a bicyclist: the former governor of Illinois. We didn't see Rod, but we would have invited him to join us if he had a bike.

The group continued east, I had a union meeting on Saturday so I went home.

Thanks to everyone for the fun, impromptu ride. I hope you all enjoyed Quadruple crossing Bernard. It was unfortunate the the Deer were hiding from us, but I hope that everyone had a good time in some of the farther reaches of the Northside.
