Some dirt marks on the outside, but fairly clean on the inside. I've only used this 20 times over the past 2 years.

BOA laces is nice and convenient. Fast for those days you don't feel like messing with regular laces when it's too cold that it hurts your hands pulling on those laces.

Push the knob in, and twist clock-wise to lock. To unlock, simply pull the knob out.
