Hi folks,
I have a 4.5 year old Xtracycle bike combo for sale for $400. The bike is a newer edition Schwinn cruiser (i.e. not the 1970s version) and the Xtracycle attachment is the 'classic' FreeRadical for 26" wheels. The bike has the following features:
In addition to the bike, I also have an unused two-leg Plestscher kickstand and an unused (but slightly dirty) pair of WTB Slickasaurus tires (not on the bike itself) that I can negotiate over, if you are interested.
All things considered, this bike is great for shopping, picking up groceries (the panniers are designed to fit 4 grocery bags w/ ease), towing kiddos, or just cruising around. It has served me well, but I need to move and I'm looking to minimize my stuff. It shows a bit of wear from the miles I've put on it (scratches, dirt, some rust here and there, etc), but nothing out of the ordinary.
The bike is being stored in a space near the Bryn Mawr stop on the Red Line, and I'm currently between apartments, living in the West Loop, and relatively strapped for free time. Consequently, please only contact me if you are a serious buyer. I need to sell this before Tuesday (6/19).
Pictures are below!
Thanks, zack

good idea on the extra cycle cruiser, if I had the dough to spare right now I'd def. consider it.
Permalink Reply by Zack Furness on June 15, 2012 at 9:54am No worries, Liz. They are pretty great, though. I've actually used this bike more than almost anything else since I moved to Chicago in 2007. I've also had a lot of interesting conversations with folks as a result of it.
