I will definitely be sending in my $17, hopefully they will start making them soon. It's a nice looking plate too...

LIB is a great organization (Ok, I am biased, because I am doing some work for them right now, but I would not be doing that if I didn't love LIB. . . er, OK, I have been in front of computer too long.)

LIB's Ed Barsotti keeps staying on IDOT to do its job to design roads that we *all* can travel along and across. He is at the meetings trying to work with engineers to be open-minded about road design and is willing to rabble rouse, sometimes quietly, sometimes loudly, when they aren't.

Here's some lunchtime reading on how LIB and other groups, like Active Trans, have been working to move IDOT towards better compliance with the Complete Streets law (letter and spirit). http://www.bikelib.org/other-advocacy/idot-complete-streets-law/

An interesting read (worth the free signup.)

Would make an interesting film project to stand in a suburban shopping mall and show people the license plate and ask them what they think "share the road" means.

If I had a car, I'd get one. It's a great way to get the message out there on the roads.
