Description

For 67 days, starting on July 17 in San Francisco, Alzheimer researchers from across America are cycling cross-country to promote a petition making Alzheimer's Disease a national priority. Their epic ride will end at Capitol Hill on September 21, World Alzheimer's Day, when the riders will present congress with over 50,000 petition signatures.

On Thursday, September 2, the ride will arrive in Chicago's James R. Thompson Plaza. ...Please join us between the hours of 11 AM and 2 PM to sign the petition on our iPads, take a stab at the BRANIA game and learn more about Alzheimer's Disease. A short program will take place at approximately 1:00 PM, when we will welcome in the riders as they complete their two-day segment from Madison, Wisconsin to Chicago.

As the event's project manager, I have seen first-hand the fortitude and dedication these researchers have displayed along this extremely difficult route. Daily distances have exceeded 100 miles in temperatures over 110 degrees. They are fueled by your interest and support (and lots of electrolytes). We hope to see you out in Chicago!
