Anyone know details on this or the victim:

Horrible.

When I saw this a few days ago the Sun Times had the location as 21st and Ashland.  Still do:

Chris, is there some other source stating that the victim has died?

OK, looks like the Sun Times is right and the Trib is way off.  The images in the Sun Times entry are at 21st/Ashland and Paulina/21st.

This is freakin' ridiculous.  The Trib is still listing the location as 3600 S. A lot of good it's going to do the Police or the victim if they can't get something so basic right.

And the cyclist is still not dead! Can we please get the subject line of this thread changed?

Chris Hainey: Could you click the options button in the right hand corner of your discussion, then the edit button and correct this thread to read: Cyclist Critically Injured in Hit and Run by Semi-truck. Thanks.

Is it possible that police are using the surveillance cameras at 21st and Ashland because it captured the image of the semi-truck fleeing from the scene. The Sun-Times story states that the incident occurred at 3600 s. Ashland but the video is superimposed with 21 st. and Ashland. Just trying to help figure this out.

And most importantly, we are all hoping for the recovery of this injured cyclist.

Good news tonight. CPD has charged a suspect in this case.

Thanks, Fran & Anne.

And most importantly, we are all hoping for the recovery of this injured cyclist.
