If going to the bar at Monks(love that place) might want to stop by the Chicago French Market at 131 N Clinton between Washington and Randolph for FREE Beaujolais Nouveau wine and other free food samples from the other vendors.It goes from 4-7 Thursday Nov. 18

it seems unreasonable to hate-on this place, unless you're looking for something it's not. it's dive'ish, it's rarely that busy, friendly service, free peanuts (shells get tossed on floor) and restrooms are fairly clean. food (fish fry), don't expect greatness, no matter what you read online. for what it's worth, enjoy it.
