Every member of the Society (CBES) should aspire to have a beer at every brewery or brewpub located in a day or two bicycle ride distance from Chicago (and, of course, within the city limits).
Naturally, preferable way of getting to is by bike, as for riding back . . . whatever is available, train, bus, horse and buggy, depending on amount of beverages consumed at the destination.

they open @ 11. leave @ 8 from fullerton & the lake? then easy peasy fullerton to thatcher to washington to prairie path to fox river to there? headwind out, tailwind back. 43 each way = 86 RT.
bnsf out and ride back could be a more fun alternative, but timing isn't great, arrivals @ 10 and noon. ride out and bnsf back? departures @ 12:20 and 2:20.
2 brothers roundhouse? 2 which i've never been?
i need to train for the upcoming Ninth Step Double-Oktoberfest Almost-Century. maybe a long ride sun., looks like it will be nice.
this weekend?
It was gorgeous! Having only owned the bike for a few months now I opted for the metric century. I saw a New Glarus jersey as well, and ate maybe too many incredible rest stop snacks. Celebrated when I got home with Two Brothers Atom Smasher. Catch you out there next time!
saw a new glarus jersey not a revbrew one. what a beautiful day! how far did you ride? my first century of the year. an egg mcmuffin, potato soup, a hot dog, pizza, but no beer! having a prairie birthday bomb! now.
I’m on my way there now! I’ll be cruising along wearing a RevBrew jersey. Probably won’t be checking my phone much to conserve power but say hi if you see me! I’m on a green Co-op bike from REI.
last-minute, i know, but anybody else riding the north shore century tomorrow?
and, such a convenient starting point!
