""...polite, cautious and alert!" That's good advise for everyone, however they are traveling, wherever they are travelling -- whether in Amsterdam, Los Angeles, Penang, Mumbai, or Mexico City! US traffic-related crashes,…"
"Yep, I know and agree. For me, my reaction depends quite a bit on my mood, and on how much of a rush I'm in (or think I'm in). But you know, that's the same excuse (and from a certain perspective, perfectly valid) that I…"
"Well, one cannot ride too carefully here or anywhere in the pedestrian-dominated Loop. Yes, peds can be dumb, distracted, etc. but cyclists have to do, I say, what I do when riding this facility (especially at rush hours) -- slow down, stay…"

What brings you to The Chainlink?
Been checking it out a long time, just finally decided I needed to join.
My first bike:
SOLID rubber tires. Top tube could be bolted in a "boys" bike position, or in a "girls" bike position. Red and white. Very slow (or was it just me?) compared to my older brother's and his friends' bikes. Nonetheless, very fondly remembered/recalled.
