"Sorry to hear this man, I lock up there all the time, but I lock both wheels and frame. I should get a seat lock too huh? When the sidewalk is finished they are suppose to put in new racks, but what we really need are CC Cameras that the school can…"

2slowtrek replied to JFred4's discussion What's the deal with riding while smoking?
"Isnt smoking cool? and even cooler on a bike? To bad they got rid of Marlboro miles, I really wanted that Lycra jersey. On a more serious note since I am not a smoker. What was that movie where they showed a Jamaican guy smoking a big joint while…"

Out with the old... well stolen anyways.

My 05 trek 1200 was taken off of my back porch. I stay relatively private/quiet very safe neighborhood so I took my chances not locking it up, and in a 2 hours span of time it was gone. (reported stolen to CPD)So, when the renters insurance check came in I spent it on what I have been eying for a while. The Surly Cross Check. Now with upgrades! First thing was first, switched to some Armadillos.Second I dumped the salsa ultra wide bars. I test rode a Pista for a while and fell in love with the…See More

Just started teaching at Columbia. Presently its Photo Chicago Now, but next semester it will also be History of Photography (19th century to 1920). I love this school. My son Jason Travis is studying script writing there.

I'm a good friend of Rick. We share art world interest in our work. I'm a retired Curator (of Photography) at the Art Institute. I have learned a lot from him but have a long ways to go. I'll probably only do the Interclub Frostbite event this year.

Just did 100 miles in the Apple Cider Century on Sunday in perfect weather and looking to do another century soon. I'm not fast but my training paid off as I was not sore or fatigued at the end of it.

2slowT-wreck,

I have a T-10 named Mischief in Jackson Park Harbor. We only really did the Mac and the Bi_State this year, no weekend buoy races. Cycling got in some of the way, as did finishing a book and three exhibitions for the Art Institute and retiring in June. But next year, with some recruiting effort we should be back on the line.

What is the name of the boat you race on?
