"OK thanks. Again, I didn't take that particular shot, but I used it because it's one of the most dramatic photos of a Lakefront Trail crash that I've seen. I'm guessing that if you go back and look at photos of female cyclists…"

Bike Shop Day Tour With Uptown Boys at Green Machine Cycles

December 1, 2018 from 11am to 6pm
The acoustic pop and folk trio Uptown Boys will perform at six North and Northwest side Chicago bicycle stores to celebrate Bike Shop Day, a national event in support of local businesses. We invite you to pedal with us between the shops, mostly on mellow side streets, or just show up at the stores to hear the music. Many of the shops will be offering complimentary refreshments, and this is also a chance to pick up holiday gifts for the bike riders in your life. Here's the schedule for the Sat.…See More

Recommendations for ***locally made*** winter cycling gear?

For an article I'm working on about winter cycling tips, are there any ***LOCALLY MADE*** products you recommend for cold-weather biking? These could include clothing (hats, gloves, jackets, long underwear, socks, shoes, etc.), accessories (lights, fenders, etc.), or bikes and bike parts. I probably won't have space to plug particular bike shops that sell these items. Thanks!See More

If memory serves, today may have been the first time we've well met. I've long appreciated your contribution to the cause of bikes, anticipated meeting you, and was not disappointed.

Hello John, Will you be planning a Michael Jackson tribute ride? Or at least a little song?
I hope so!

Glad you could make it John - I think there should have been a prize for "sweetest ride" because you would have won.
