Information

Chicagoland Beer Exploration Society

Every member of the Society (CBES) should aspire to have a beer at every brewery or brewpub located in a day or two bicycle ride distance from Chicago (and, of course, within the city limits).

Naturally, preferable way of getting to is by bike, as for riding back . . . whatever is available, train, bus, horse and buggy, depending on amount of beverages consumed at the destination.

Routes on Ride with GPS, here.

On Facebook, here.

On Twitter, here.

Lists of breweries and brewpubs (and other beer things): on Facebook, and on Twitter.

Up-to-date map (with a list, postal- and web-addresses and phone numbers, where available). Five hundred thirty (530!) so far.

I think Bryan can hire a pedicab (for the wife, at least) . . .

@Bryan, if she doesn't ride, and you don't have a car, how are you going to get back and forth?

@J.A.W., a ridley -- 40% off because it's a 2012!

Robert, we are car-free.

What bike did you order?

Comment by bobweiser on March 19, 2013 at 10:39pm

i can't do sat., but i'd go on sun. "chance of snow and rain ... Breezy. Winds from the ENE at 20 to 25 mph. Chance of snow 60% with accumulations up to 1 in. possible"

ps: ordered my new bike today, wu-hu!

On a non-DLD note: Anyone up for a ride to the Horse Thief this weekend? I will be on-call both Sat. and Sunday, will not know for sure until later this week.

@Bryan, ride down early, imbibe, and let her drive you home!

Comment by Bryan McClaran on March 17, 2013 at 12:57pm

Eh, She doesn't ride. Besides, I have a feeling I will be imbibing. I don't like riding drunk.
