Great idea. I'll try to join in at some point.  Will check schedules closer to the day of the event.

Thanks Kenneth, great sell job, as I'm thinking I'll join in. Hopefully another B rider from this list can help out/join in the fun too.

Hey, Brompton people - not much activity here on our group! I've got something for us...

March 8, Sunday, is Go Green Wilmette's big green fair, called Going Green Matters. One of the exhibitions is going to be cool bikes: there will be recumbents, electrics, etc. There should really be a Brompton represented, with someone to show people how it folds/unfolds. We all know how much people love Bromptons when they see them. Here's an opportunity for us to spread the love, and encourage new riders to join our ranks.

If a couple of you would be willing to come and spend an hour or so exhibiting with your Brompton, please get in touch. (kenneth - dot - obel at gmail.com) Going Green Matters is a really fun fair to attend in any event, so you can exhibit for an hour and then see everything else that's there.

I would do this myself, but I'll be staffing the Wilmette Citizens for Active Transportation (WCAT) table inside.

For those of you who don't know -- Wilmette is very close to the City. Just one stop past Evanston.

C'mon up!

Here's an event our B's will love! Bill P and I are attending, and dreaming about other B's joining us. It would simply be wonderful to have a contingent of Bromptons.

Well, I successfully went up and down the stairs both inbound and outbound today. I was fortunate enough to find the bench seat at the very end of the car vacant, which gave me lots of space to store Winston and my bag(s). I should also note, the Brompton won't fit in the very upper shelf in the upper area (of one of the newer cars). I didn't have the opportunity to place Winston on the shelf/luggage rail just above the lower level, and reachable from the upper level. So this remains on my list for future experimentation.

I started to try that once long ago, but quickly abandoned the idea when faced with making the turn up the steps.

Will probably do the mass tomorrow, leaving it at Clybourn to get the train north.

Planning on the usual Metra trip tomorrow, and will be daring enough to carry 'Winston' up the second story to rest on the luggage rack.

Anyone ever tried that? I'll let ya'all know how it goes.

Odd, but I haven't seen any other Bs since Critical Mass last May (Mike and Jenny).
