I also would love to contribute to this. I have become a fan of the Whistler on milwaukee. Great cocktails and good music with a smaller crowd. This should be a spot to checkout for sure.

I've been hiding out all winter, because unlike Marco, I'm not that tough. Once it warms up a bit more, I'll be itchin' to get out to some watering holes and hang out with some cyclists. If you've got any new favorite spots, post 'em in the Preferred Watering Holes Thread.

I just found out my friend Patrick is playing up the street at the Sub-T tonight... I've never seen them play. They are going on at 9:30, so I might see if I can peek at the end of their set when I get out. They're called '97 Shiki, if you're interested.

Found it. Also, got confused because when I see "CL" I think 'craigslist' not 'chainlink.' Guess I'm old skool.
Getting out of a dance practice thing on Milwaukee near Damen tomorrow at 10pm- and will probably be up for a drink, so- who's in for tomorrow night??

www.heartlandcafe.com 7000 n Greenwood, in Rogers Park, right near Morse El station. I think you'd like it - check out the discussion on the main CL page. they are having some financial issues and got press in the Chicago Trib recently. bar, restaurant, store and bastion of liberal politics for more than 30 years. Worth checking out even if you can't go Wed.
