Velo Yoga

We are the ones that bike to the yoga studio with our yoga mats slung over our backs. We put our helmets next to our mats while we practice yoga. Then we get back on our bikes.

Juan - it was great meeting you last night at Bikram.
Martin (Hazard) convinced me to do the Fri WP Mass
ride; so I will hope to see you at the art show afterwards...

Hey Everyone! Claire here. I am a yoga teacher who loves to bike and would love to meet you at my yoga studio Self Centered Yoga or REI where I work. Come ask me anything about yoga! (i might not know all the answers) :)

Hi. I've been practicing at the Bikram studio in Wicker Park for 4 years, and just started visiting the new Yogaview (all donation classes) on Division. I highly recommend both. To the Bikram yogis worried about cold sweat, I just dry myself off with a fresh towel and air dry for a while before leaving and it's all good.

I like Bloom Yoga on Rockwell and Leland- they have a couple gentle classes, plus Levels 1-3, and regular workshops and events too. I recently joined this group, and have not seen any regular routines or events yet, but might be up for some depending on schedule.

Hey,

I just moved to Chicago in September. I'm set up with Chicago Critical Mass, Food-Not-Bombs, Church and a Coffee Shop. All I need now is a good job and a yoga class.

I'm looking for a basic "flow" or "gentle flow" class, held anywhere on the northside. (I was spoiled by my Yoga instructor in Arizona - she would light candles, play soft music and she gave everyone a gentle massage using oils during savasana!)

Does this group have any regular routines, events?
Count me in!

I have been a Bikram junkie for 7 months now and found my endurance against cold headwinds increased twofold.

What type of yoga do you all prefer and how do you feel it affects your biking?
