Tony (& APB) is interested in being involved.

Jane Healy is probably best qualified to suggest an ideal length, but for our first ride in March we are tentatively planning a ride of about 1 hour and roughly 3 miles. But we'll adapt to the riders and conditions as needed.

Hey Todd...are we going to link up the Chicago kidical mass rides to the kidical mass website?

I will check in with Tony. I have been doing a little bit of work with him related to APB. I will also start thinking of a route. What is a typical ride length for Kidical Mass?

I also love the idea of Rogers Park. I'll bring my nephews!

Liz, please suggest a start location and perhaps a route too. The first two rides were picked at the Bicycle Boulevards Now meetings. But ideally this group will take on the task of planning future rides.

I'd think Rogers Park would make an excellent choice for a ride. Perhaps Tony and crew of the NSCM and APB might step in and help organize a May 15th (3rd Saturday) Kidical Mass in Rogers Park?

Andrew, you wrote that Rogers Park parents are game. I am a Rogers Park parent and would love it if there were a ride up here. What needs to be done to make that happen? Maybe, since there is March and April ride already set elsewhere, there could be a May one Rogers Park?

Anne, thanks for the prompting. The ride is now posted on the Chainlink.

I noticed this in a quote from Sarah Kaplan in the Momentum article about Bike Boulevards. Why isn't it on the Chainlink calendar yet?

Kaplan said the main goal of Bike Boulevards Now! is to build a groundswell of popular support. The group is launching a monthly series of family-friendly group bike rides called “Kidical Masses” to build excitement and spread the word about bike boulevards. The first Kidical Mass ride will be held Saturday, March 20, starting at 9 a.m. at Palmer Square. A second Kidical Mass is scheduled for Saturday, April 17 at 9 a.m. in Lincoln Square.
