I just rode the Major Taylor trail for the first time last week. I was hoping to get some chicken at the Cafe Peninsula at the end of the trail, but found it to be closed, looked like for good. Does anyone know of a good place to catch some breakfast/lunch in Riverdale or in that immediate area?

Today I was walking through Ridge Park and overheard a bit of conversation between two park district employees on big riding lawnmowers. They were talking about an assignment to go mow along the Major Taylor Trail.

I think that having someone from CPD landscape staff is a great idea.

When we got the news about the CPD clean-up that caused us to cancel on 5/2, there was talk about a date sometime in June, but I don't believe a specific date was mentioned.

Cynthia - What's your recollection on that?

I will be at the next planning meeting for the Major Taylor Trail. Should I ask for someone to come from the CPD's landscape staff? Are we planning another date for a clean up?
