Information

Chicagoland Beer Exploration Society

Every member of the Society (CBES) should aspire to have a beer at every brewery or brewpub located in a day or two bicycle ride distance from Chicago (and, of course, within the city limits).

Naturally, preferable way of getting to is by bike, as for riding back . . . whatever is available, train, bus, horse and buggy, depending on amount of beverages consumed at the destination.

What time are we meeting and where? Looking forward to the ride.

Serge, for this Sunday's ride do you have anything in mind for lunch stop? If not I've heard good things about Tribe's Ale House in Tinley although it would mean deviating from your route a bit. I'd also be cool with grabbing something and just bringing it to Hailstorm but I'm not sure what's in the area.

Me.

I've had their beers before and agree they're good. My girlfriend and I will actually be staying across the street from there the last weekend of July so will be paying Greenbush a visit.

That being said, I'd be interested in riding there once the South Shore line allows bikes. Or for a long weekend tour.

Has CBES (or any of its members) ridden to Greenbush brewery in Sawyer, MI?

I rode there earlier this year, and just went back (by car) last weekend. Excellent beers!!!

I would be up for the ride, how many miles again?
