Information

Chicagoland Beer Exploration Society

Every member of the Society (CBES) should aspire to have a beer at every brewery or brewpub located in a day or two bicycle ride distance from Chicago (and, of course, within the city limits).

Naturally, preferable way of getting to is by bike, as for riding back . . . whatever is available, train, bus, horse and buggy, depending on amount of beverages consumed at the destination.

I might be up for this.  Weather forecast now shows thunderstorms likely for Saturday.

Won't be able to make it this Saturday. Doing the marauders ride in honor of Dan Brown.

Not only was there much tasty beer to be had, but it was often an excellent value, e.g.,  $8 growler fills (although not this one from Deschutes).

Stainless steel growlers were new to me.  Nice for biking but some breweries find them a pain to fill.

Back from a couple weeks in the Pacific Northwest.  It would be a great place to go for a beer bike tour.

I can't make it out to the Hobo ride this Saturday but I'm thinking of riding up to Temperance Saturday afternoon for a few cold ones. I'd be happy to have some company if anyone else wants to join.

I'd like to do another ride out that way this year but I'll be in Michigan this weekend.
