Information

Chicagoland Beer Exploration Society

Every member of the Society (CBES) should aspire to have a beer at every brewery or brewpub located in a day or two bicycle ride distance from Chicago (and, of course, within the city limits).

Naturally, preferable way of getting to is by bike, as for riding back . . . whatever is available, train, bus, horse and buggy, depending on amount of beverages consumed at the destination.

Routes on Ride with GPS, here.

On Facebook, here.

On Twitter, here.

Lists of breweries and brewpubs (and other beer things): on Facebook, and on Twitter.

and, had a nice dinner at coppervine last night, and heard about their 1 year anniversary party, with "specialty rare beers" from Bell's (and wine and cocktails and passed hors d'oeuvres). Tue. 12/2, $25. anybody else like specialty rare beers?

what a beautiful day. and a tailwind going down, so i had time for the off-road option. which i regretted when all of a sudden my rear tire started hissing. stopped, took a look -- and it was just a leaf caught between the tire and the brakes.  :-)

Great beer, great characters. Hugh thanks to Rich, and all the guys who pushed into the headwind today. It was great to meet you all.
