Chicagoland Beer Exploration Society

Every member of the Society (CBES) should aspire to have a beer at every brewery or brewpub located in a day or two bicycle ride distance from Chicago (and, of course, within the city limits).

Naturally, preferable way of getting to is by bike, as for riding back . . . whatever is available, train, bus, horse and buggy, depending on amount of beverages consumed at the destination.

Lists of breweries and brewpubs (and other beer things): on Facebook, and on Twitter.

Up-to-date map (with a list, postal- and web-addresses and phone numbers, where available). Five hundred thirty (530!) so far.

Deet and Robert: I am volunteering at the Swap until 10:30 or 11 a.m. After that, if anyone would like to ride to the Horse Thief Hollow (or ride again, in my case), it wold be great.

Will: I'll create an event for that. Even if it will be only two of us, and even you don't want to run, you can provide moral support. Of course, those who'd like to attend the beerfest will have to buy tickets, and if someone else would like to run that 5K that someone will need to register.

OK, so then back to the Crown Point discussion.

Serge, will you be joining the race?

I'm thinking meeting at Buckingham Fountain and leaving no later then 6:00 AM to account for any last minute onsite registrations for the race. What do you all think?
