Every member of the Society (CBES) should aspire to have a beer at every brewery or brewpub located in a day or two bicycle ride distance from Chicago (and, of course, within the city limits).
Naturally, preferable way of getting to is by bike, as for riding back . . . whatever is available, train, bus, horse and buggy, depending on amount of beverages consumed at the destination.

Have fun guys! I'll be snowboarding up in Michigan this weekend.
Add Wild Onion and Emmett's in Palatine to that list, Serge. Make it 42!
Yeah I think some of us were talking about taking a weekend and visiting a few breweries in that area. Memorial Day weekend might be best but I may not be able to do it then. Won't know until April.
New Glarus would have to be overnight.
Temperance would be good for a Sunday afternoon in winter since its only a few miles.
We've come a long way from the humble beginnings of Power Serge Focused Group! Cheers to another great year of rides!
Oh and I think we should push further north and west ... say New Glarus in May when I'm done with the semester. :)
now announcing the F-12 Award :-)
lol
Sure, but it's currently 30 degrees in Anchorage with no wind. :)
