Suzy Schnauzer is also fundraising for Chicago Canine Rescue Foundation.

Please help me reach my fundraising goal and support CCR! Suzy came from Chicago Canine Rescue which provides Chicagoland homeless pooches with a safe haven and gives potential adopters a place to come to meet our dogs available for adoption. This year, over 500 animals that were facing euthanasia in other area shelters will instead come through our doors and receive much needed medical services and find loving families! Please help save lives and support the CCR mission!! If you're willing to donate something to save the other pups, copy and paste the URL below and go to our fundraising page.

Please consider attending (biking to) the annual Greyhounds Only Reunion this Sunday from 9:30am - 3:30pm at Warren Park Field House, 6601 N. Western Ave, Chicago.

There will be lots of skinny dogs and a ridiculous amount of dog merchandise for all breeds. Lots of art and other items to be auctioned off. There is also a massive raffle with a shitload of prizes. All this and an Animal Communicator too!

This years reunion is important because the last track in Wisconsin may close in a couple weeks, there may be up to 500 dogs to find homes for. So we need to spread the word about Greyhounds to anybody who might be interested.

The picture is of our new foster dog Flash, he is a sweetheart and we may never give him up!

Sorry about the long winded message

Mark

rachel - roxy is of undetermined origin. we believe she is mix of lab & boston terrier (geneticteaparty?).
the red harness keeps her secure. it is an "easywalk" (or something like that) you can get at petsmart -the key is that it links below the chin. this is hooked to a couple of climbing ropes tied to the trailer's loops. she can move around, but not jump out or get tangled in rope(important).
roxy does not like the trailer if we put the roof on. she likes to see out. she got out once in light traffic (bad knot) and i wouldn't want it to happen again.
we are planning an epic trip to pooch park this weekend. 5 miles each way! wish us luck.
don't let fall slow you down! this is the best time to ride & pups need the fresh air too!

This Sunday is supposed to be sunny and 59! Nice picture, Joe!! Is Roxy a Puggle? Does the red harness secure her from bumps? I have harnesses to keep my pooches from jumping out of my open-top wagon, but someone told me it's safer to let them jump free if something goes wrong, but I don't know. Hopes of riding with my dogs are derailed for now - I guess I need to have a roof/cover built?

pic below is roxy, on her way to foster dogbeach... we've ridden to the beach 4 years, but pooch added a knew wrinkle, and some logistics issues. roxy wants a thule on her burley, so she can carry a beachchair. spoiled brat!
