2 blocks from Working Bikes-- new rehab-- avail on/after Dec 1 (rented, thanks)

I partnered with fellow c'linker Jim Freeman on rehabbing a brick 2-flat in my block that I rescued from the banks.

We're putting the finishing touches on now and the units are going to be beautiful.

The building is vintage late 1890s with a full unfinished basement and attic.  It has high ceilings, large windows, and lots of light. It has completely new electrical throughout, new high efficiency forced air, new plumbing, new bathrooms, new kitchens, hardwood floors. Efforts have been made to preserve the vintage feel and features through the rehabbing process. There is green space on both sides for gardening or whatever else you like to use green space for; lots of storage available for bikes, trailers, etc. Cute, quiet, non-through block, very convenient to transportation (#60/#49/#94/#21 each 2 blocks away, pink line 5 blocks.)

Floorplans below. Units are around 1000 sf each and would work as 2 or 3 bedroom.

Rent will be $800/mo for first floor and $890/mo for second.

Two blocks from Working Bikes?  Two blocks north, two blocks south, two blocks east, two blocks west?  Makes an importance difference given that neighborhood.

What do you call that area?  Pilsen?

2600 block of 24th Place, just into Little Village.

Still a bunch of finishing touches to go, but some first images snapped today.

Building rented for now, thanks for looking.

Downstairs unit may be avail May 1 2014-- keep us in mind.
