May 24 is also Bike the Drive, so the 2nd would be better for me. I did ride the Humber on BTD last year - do I get credit for that?

I vote for either May 2 which is a Saturday or May 24 which is a Sunday. Which day forms a better day for all of you? The idea of doing a theme on Empire Day is somewhat attractive. that is 1 week before the Austin ride with Big Shoulders and the Active Transportation Alliance.

If before the 3speed doesn't work there's always Sunday the 24th - Empire Day!

Indeed, The Tweed! As for dates, early May would be great since the 3speed Tour is 15 - 17 May.

That perfectly sets up our last stop, which should be in the early evening/late afternoon. The perfect stop for those that have had enough to pedal home, and those that are up for it to embibe at the final speakeasy until the wee hours should they be up for it.

So are you doing the tweed?

Later than April. May. I am still up for going to at least 6 spots which i think should be the 6 willing to buy us a round for stopping there! OR! ORRRRR!!!!!!! it should be any willing to let us peak at some cool speakeasy type stuff like hidden corridors and what-not. I have a better route kind of worked out if i may share.....soon. it involves several other historically significant alcohol related stops and they are nearby, but doesn't disrupt the theme much. there is a bit on the history of alcohol through riding.

so is this a night ride?

While we're honoring Brit bikes, all libations are tolerated. As for the route, from my experience on the Full Moon Fiasco and The Logan Square Draft Beer Preservation Society Pub Crawls I think max number of stops should be around 6 or so. Doesn't mean we can't stop to look at others and hear about their history. What about some combination of M thru Q and A thru G? Thoughts???

Also, what about suitable dates - late April???
