was indicted, possibly on felony charges:
But it is believed that prosecutors were seeking felony charges of filing false records in connection with the police report that Officer Pogan filed after arresting the bicyclist, Christopher Long. Officer Pogan, who was stripped of his gun and badge in July after the video emerged, also could be charged with a misdemeanor count of assault.

Here's the video link if your memory needs refreshing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oUkiyBVytRQ
If he wasn't a cop that would be felony assault. The rider couldn't defend himself and was unaware an attack would take place. Bring back hangings for that bastard!
The cop plead not guilty to the charge.
Everyone pleads not guilty...It will depends on the Jury/Judge because the lawyer is going to somehow say we are not seeing the whole thing on video. "His actions were justified." Even after all this pomp and circumstance this idiot cop (that's a singular - i take idiot cops on a one at a time basis - some jerkoff e-yelled at me cause he didn't read the singular before) will get a slap on the wrist.
This is the first time I saw this video. wow! that was totaly un-provoked! the rider even tried to avoid the officer. I'm just glad that for the most part, cops in this town are suprisingly tolerant of CM.
