Paul Sherwen, a broadcaster who cycling fans have been listening to for years has passed away. In typical British understatement he would describe a racer who was feeling the effects of a climb as being in a "spot of bother." It will be hard to imagine grand tours without he and Phil Liggett having a conversation and letting the rest of us in on it while the racers swept through scenic vistas.
It seems weird to imagine those races without Paul's comentary. RIP Paul.
For once I agree with Anne. The Tour just won't be the same without the Phil and Paul dynamic. Bob Roll is cool in his post-race commentary. But not the same as Phil & Paul.
