Route Suggestions From Brookfield Zoo To Navy Pier

Hi,

Any bikers out there commuting into the city from the western suburbs? Here is a link to a route I found. I rode half of it up to Central Ave & it was pleasant except for being on a few fast traffic areas for a short time. Anyone know how creepy it is on Jackson between Austin & Ashland? Better routes would be appreciated!

I biked from Brookfield Zoo into the city last summer; I took Washington. It was great. Some kids were having a water balloon fight a bit east of Garfield Park.
