I am concerned about the condition of bike lanes in the Lakeview and Lincoln Park neighborhoods. Many of the existing lanes need to be repainted, and it's not always clear how to alert the city about these matters.

No bike lanes on that section of Clark St. Never had 'em there. This speedway section was discussed at a recent workshop.

Clark is a nice street with bike lanes and 1 lane for cars on either side until you get to the Chicago History Museum where the road opens up to 2 lanes for cars and the bike lanes are no where to be found. Are there really bike lanes or did they fade away? I cannot tell.

Write a letter to rahm!!

the Damen bridge needs all lanes repainted, not just the bike lanes.  I was riding southbound down the hill on the left so I could turn left on Elston and its hard to tell where the center line is

Actually all along Elston over there, too - it's downright dangerous to get into the left turn lane to go from Elston south into Wabansia - cars come at you head on because they can't see the faded lines - and I do that one all too often...

Yes Lawrence needs much work. It is the only good E-W major street since Foster/Montrose/Irv Park are all terrible. 45th Ward Alderman John Arena has been good and some improvements have been made but farther east its just gone. A street like Lawrence is broken up into so many different wards between Elston to Lincoln. Here's a good map that shows how many wards some of our "problem" streets are divided by to to contact your local Alderman.

Lawrence Ave has long stretches where the lanes have totally faded away.

The city should realize that if they installed more protected lanes with physical barriers they would have to repaint less.
