I don't think it ever was hard.

Google Map Search - simply type in Bike Shop.  They even have bike-routing directions.

But I do appreciate the work that was put into this directory.

And if you're in Chicago, don't forget our own homegrown bike shop directory:

chicagobikeshops.info

Also under the useful links tab.

What is with all the spam links in the reviews section?

Hmm.  That's new.

I've found the reviews, generally, to be useful.

Time to email the webmaster.

It may be just how Chrome is rendering the page.  It looks all like weird randomly-generated user-names and strange links in the comments other than a tiny few that are actual comments.

The new directory is lacking. Missing some shops near me. One especially, http://plankroadcyclery.com/

It's on teh g00g13 mapz

Got an email back from the webmaster:

Thanks for the heads-up. I deleted all that spam.

Depressing that no-one has mentioned http://chicagobikeshops.info

A locally run non-commercial site which includes user reviews of most of the shops.

Does nobody know about it?

Don't forget about http://chicagobikeshops.info/ too.
